Introducing enhanced, highly predictive Financial Stress and Commercial Credit Scores for an uncertain world

 

As part of our DUNSRight Quality Process, D&B regularly evaluates and enhances our predictive scoring models to bring you greater insight on the businesses you inquire about.  Recently, unprecedented economic change has contributed to a shift in the pattern of business failures and an increase in payment delinquency.

 

In response, we have enhanced the D&B Financial Stress Score (FSS) and Commercial Credit Score (CCS).  These scores help you predict the risk of business failure (FSS) and payment delinquency (CCS), enabling you to make more confident business decisions. The new FSS and CCS feature four key enhancements: 

  • Overall improvement in predicting delinquency and failure in the lowest scoring 20%

  •   18% improvement in the Financial Stress Score’s ability to predict business failure

  •   15% improvement in the Commercial Credit Score’s ability to predict severe delinquency

  •  New Sources of Macroeconomic data and National Debt Ratings (FSS model only)

  • A re-defined Risk Class Scale now makes both score models more intuitive

  • Daily score calculations to better leverage the dynamic updates to the data used to calculate the scores
